CMBS investors have traditionally relied on macroeconomic data, constant default rate analysis and rating agency opinions to evaluate CMBS issuances. However, in today’s market, investment decisions require a different approach. AMS has provided asset-level due diligence on more than 30,000 properties which represent the collateral in over 60 CMBS issuances. We offer our clients research which supplements the traditional information sources with a focus on the property and market level fundamentals which are critical to accurately evaluating the CMBS market. Our methodology utilizes a bottom-up, loan-by-loan analysis of, and the underlying asset and market fundamentals that directly affect, the collateral’s ability to service the loan.
